Now I think it will be my main lure for pike/muskie in St. Croix and I literally never used it because I actually didn't want to catch the Muskie Golem because it would take so long and I was never able to reel it in. With kayak, I got the fish on first try and it took like 2 minutes to get it.Īlso, Golem lure is amazing for big muskies in St. Croix, even with my strongest rod I was never able to reel the fish in, it always got away, sometimes the fight took 20-30 real minutes which was frustrating. ![]() One more benefit - I was finally able to catch Muskie Golem on St. ![]() What's super nice is that the fight takes MUCH shorter so you can catch more fish during peak hours and get maximum out of the day. You can also get much more exp points by using as light equipment as possible, it just takes a little bit of experimenting. You can actually catch bigger fish than your equipment should allow, which is obvious. Thanks to everyone who mentioned how to reel in big fish faster with a kayak with anchor up! It's super useful for various reasons.
